The Embodied Classroom
The most important thing you bring to your classroom is you.
The Regulated Class
A Department of Education approved EPV summer course for primary teachers. Earn 3 EPV (Extra Personal Vacation) days on successful completion.
Learn simple yet powerful tools to regulate your own nervous system, support your students' wellbeing, and create a supportive space where every child feels seen, safe, and ready to learn.
Understand how stress shows up in you. Then bring that same understanding to your pupils.
"The practices that help a child feel grounded are the same ones that help you feel human at the end of a long day."
The most giving people are often the most depleted. I have sat with many teachers who arrived at my door exhausted, burnt out, running on empty. I have watched them leave feeling like themselves again. What you will find here was built for exactly that.
The course was shaped by my own work with children and teachers, by the insights of primary school teachers currently working in Irish schools, and grounded in current Irish national policy and recent research on children's wellbeing and self-regulation.

Course structure
Each module supports your own regulation first, then gives you inclusive, classroom-ready strategies for the children in front of you.
Explore the different stress responses and how they show up in you and in your pupils. Learn how breathwork calms the nervous system, build your own regulation plan, and design inclusive breathwork activities for every learner in the room.
Tone, pace and rhythm shape your nervous system and the atmosphere of the room. Build vocal health habits, develop trauma-informed communication, and design invitational voice activities for pupils of all abilities.
Notice how stress lives in your body and release it through gentle, accessible movement. Then bring short, inclusive movement breaks into your school day, with adaptations for pupils with sensory, physical or emotional needs.
No musical background needed. Explore how rhythm, repetition and tempo regulate the nervous system and support focus and calm. Practice body percussion, call-and-response, and intentional use of music, adapted for all learners.
Weave breathwork, voice, movement and music therapy into a classroom wellbeing plan you can actually keep up with. Design short micro-practices for morning settling, transitions and focus time, aligned with the National Wellbeing Policy and adaptable for all learners.

Your facilitator
Music Therapist, Yoga Teacher, Vocal Coach, and wellness facilitator. I have worked with children and adults for many years, helping them feel grounded.
For over ten years I ran my own music school, working with children of all abilities. I spent years collaborating with specialist centres for children with additional needs, learning how the body holds stress, and how simple, well-chosen practices can shift a child's entire experience of the day.
Today I run a wellness centre offering classes, workshops and retreats. Many of the adults who find their way to me are teachers. People who give so much of themselves that they've lost touch with their own sense of ease. This course was created for you.
What teachers say
I came to this course completely burnt out. I left feeling like myself again. These tools have genuinely changed how I show up, for my students and for me.
I use the breathwork every morning with my class now. The difference in the room is extraordinary. Even the most unsettled children respond to it.
Something about being given permission to look after myself, as a teacher, changed everything. I didn't expect it to affect me so personally.
